How it works
Open the app, and you'll see a map with color-coded pins. Pins can reflect estimated scores when Google ratings are available or the private ratings you record. Tap any pin to see its estimated score.
When you rate a restroom, you score it in five categories:
Sparkle Factor — How clean is it? Spotless floors and fresh scent, or mystery puddles and regret?
Fortress Level — How private? Solid doors, working locks, no awkward gaps.
Royal Extras — The essentials. Soap, paper towels, toilet paper. The things you don't think about until they're missing.
Easy Access — Wheelchair accessible? Grab bars? Wide stalls? A door you can actually navigate?
Vibe Check — The overall atmosphere. Lighting, temperature, noise level. Does it feel like a place or a punishment?
Who it's for
Throne Score works for anyone who's ever needed a bathroom and hoped for the best. But it's especially useful for a few groups of people who deal with this problem daily:
Parents can tag changing tables when they rate a restroom, then find those places again with the Baby filter.
People with IBD, Crohn's, or IBS can plan routes and outings around nearby restroom options and available accessibility details.
Travelers in unfamiliar cities can skip the guesswork and find a reliable option in seconds.
Wheelchair users and people with mobility challenges can filter for places Google lists with a wheelchair-accessible entrance and keep private notes on which restrooms were actually usable.
What's free (everything that matters)
The full map, estimated scores, the core filters, and your own ratings — completely free. No account required. Throne Score Plus ($3.99/month or $19.99/year) removes ads and adds advanced filters always on, up to 50 lists, Double XP weekends, a free Throne Shield every week, and every crown in the Crown Vault.
City guides for 41 cities
The app works wherever Google Maps lists places near you, and our website has local restroom guides for 41 cities across the US, Europe, Asia, Oceania, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
Get started
Download Throne Score free on the App Store. Find a bathroom near you, then tap 1 to 5 crowns (and fine-tune the five categories if you like). Your private notes will help you remember what to expect next time.
That's it. That's the whole idea. And honestly, it's one of those things where you wonder why it didn't exist sooner.
