Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Throne Score is operated by GW Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Throne Score (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") also applies; see Section 4. We may modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

Throne Score is a mobile application for iPhone and iPad that helps you find nearby places that usually have restrooms and rate, score, and review them for yourself. The App includes location-based search, estimated scores based on Google ratings, private ratings and reviews, lists, badges, XP, streaks, Emergency Mode, and optional paid features: the Throne Score Plus subscription and the Urgency Kit one-time purchase.

The App works without an account. Your ratings, reviews, lists, and progress are stored only on your device. They are not published to other users, and they do not sync between devices.

3. Eligibility and Your Data

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.
• You are responsible for the use of the App on your device.

Because we do not keep a copy of your data, you are responsible for backing it up. The App's Settings let you export a backup file and restore it later. If you lose your device, erase your data, or uninstall the App without a backup, we cannot recover it.

4. Apple's Standard EULA

The App is licensed, not sold, to you. If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, your license to use it is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

The Standard EULA also covers purchases and subscriptions made through the App Store. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.

5. Throne Score Plus Subscription

What You Get: No ads, advanced filters always on, up to 50 lists (the free version allows 3), Double XP weekends, a free Throne Shield every week, and every crown in the Crown Vault.

Pricing: Throne Score Plus is an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly ($3.99/month) or annually ($19.99/year) in U.S. dollars. Prices in other countries may differ; the price in your currency is shown in the App before you buy.

Free Trial: The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. At the end of the trial, the annual subscription starts and is charged automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase or, if you start with a free trial, when the trial ends.

Automatic Renewal: Your subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Managing and Canceling: Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings (iOS Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Plus until then.

Refunds: Purchases are processed by Apple, and refund requests are handled by Apple according to its policies (reportaproblem.apple.com).

6. Urgency Kit One-Time Purchase

• The Urgency Kit is a one-time, non-consumable purchase ($4.99 in U.S. dollars; the price in your currency is shown in the App before you buy). It is not a subscription and does not renew.
• It unlocks the Restroom Access Card, Emergency Mode+ (which keeps your last nearby places ready for no-signal spots), Accessibility first, and Urgent start.
• You can restore the Urgency Kit at no charge, on this or another device signed in to the same Apple Account, with Restore purchase in Settings > Urgency Kit.
• Refund requests are handled by Apple according to its policies.

7. Scores, Ratings, and Restroom Information

• Scores, ratings, and reviews in the App are opinions, and the scores and other indicators the App calculates are estimates. They are not statements of fact by Throne Score and are not endorsements of any business.
• Place details (such as names, locations, open-now status, and accessibility information) come from third-party sources such as Google Places and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Estimated scores are derived from Google ratings and do not describe any restroom.
• We do not guarantee that any restroom is open, clean, accessible, safe, or available to the public, or that a business will let you use it. Always use your own judgment.

8. Restroom Access Card

• The Restroom Access Card, part of the Urgency Kit, is a courtesy tool you can show to staff to ask for access to a restroom. It does not guarantee access.
• The card is not legal advice, not medical advice, and not a medical ID. Any summary of a restroom access law shown in the App is general information that may be incomplete or out of date. Laws vary by location and change over time.
• In a medical emergency, contact local emergency services.

9. Your Content

• "Your Content" includes the ratings, reviews, lists, profile details, and anything else you create in the App.
• You own Your Content. It stays on your device, and we do not receive or publish it.
• If you choose to share Your Content with others, for example through the share sheet, you are responsible for what you share and must have the rights to share it.

10. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

• Use the App, or content you share from it, to harass, defame, or mislead others
• Spam others with links or content shared from the App
• Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App, except as the law allows
• Interfere with or disrupt the App, its purchases, or the services it relies on
• Use automated systems to access the App or to extract its data without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

11. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding Your Content), is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content without our written permission.
• "Throne Score," our logo, and related marks are our trademarks. You may not use these marks without our written permission.

12. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Places (place search and details), Apple Maps and Google Maps (maps and directions), the Apple App Store and RevenueCat (purchases), Google AdMob (ads in the free version), and TelemetryDeck (anonymous analytics). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party services. How the App handles information is described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY CONTENT, INCLUDING SCORES, RATINGS, RESTROOM INFORMATION, AND RESTROOM ACCESS LAW SUMMARIES. NOTHING IN THE APP IS LEGAL OR MEDICAL ADVICE. USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THRONE SCORE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING THE LOSS OF DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Throne Score and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the App, content you share from it, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Arbitration: Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except for claims that may be brought in small claims court.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

Your Local Rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws where you live.

17. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Your license to use the App ends automatically if you violate these Terms. Provisions of these Terms that should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will remain in effect.

18. Changes to the App and These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time without notice, and we are not liable to you or any third party for doing so. We may update these Terms from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date when we do.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and, where it applies, Apple's Standard EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and Throne Score regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
